On Monday 4/27, we received the tragic news that Ms. England has passed on. While we do not have the details of her passing, we do know that it was unexpected and that she had not been sick prior. The Middle College community is grief-stricken as we begin the process of mourning for an unforgettable educator.

"Her personal spirit and energy that she brought into teaching was unlike anything I have ever experienced in a classroom. Her quips on womanhood and real life is something that I will never forget." Tiffany Hoang

Ms. England is remembered by her unique sense of humour and biting wit. To all, her class was known to be uniquely collaborative. Upon entering the doors, we never knew what to expect—only that it would be exciting and imaginative. Whether it was acting out a Shakespeare play or entering a national StudySync competition, she pushed us to be the best we could be. Even beyond the classroom, Ms. England was a great supporter to us all. She cared deeply and passionately about her students, never afraid to give some wise advice or an amusing anecdote.

"Like a mother to all, she did what she had to do to make sure we had the best educational experience... Flexibility, humor, and care: all the signs of a great teacher." Musaid Abdullah

Without a doubt, the healing process will be a long and arduous journey. It is also a journey that we must take together. The Middle College staff has set up a Google Classroom where students can share their fondest moments of Ms. England and honor her memory. The code is ej3usnr. We also have a Google Photos album where students can view and upload their favorite memories of Ms. England: https://tinyurl.com/msenglandmemorial. If you want to speak with a counselor, Ms. Campos is available to help you. Please fill out this form for an appointment: https://tinyurl.com/mscamposappointment

"Words can't begin to effectively capture her youthful spirit and her love for us. Words can't begin to describe the impact of this." Karen Nguyen Vo

Please consider the resources that the Middle College staff have provided and know that you do not have to mourn alone. While these are difficult times, we must remember what Ms. England stood for in both her life and character. Like her, we must be positive. Like her, we must persevere.
