Hey guys!

While I’ve been sitting at home, I’ve been craving a lot of foods that I’m unable to get now. So I decided to try to make them at home. Today’s craving is Korean cheese corn dogs. I’ve tried two different recipes to make them and one was more successful than the other. I found this recipe off of Tiktok since I spend so much of my time there.

To start off, you will need:

⅔ tablespoon of yeast

12 ounces of warm water

¼ cup of sugar

2 cups of all-purpose flour

½ tablespoon of salt

Panko bread crumbs

Mozzarella sticks

Optional: Hot dogs

Use a long plate to mix the yeast and the warm water. Then add the sugar, flour, and salt. Once you mix it thoroughly, you should get a sticky consistency. Cover that with plastic wrap and leave it for one hour to rise.

While the dough is rising, take skewers and stick them through mozzarella sticks. You can customize your corn dog at this point. You can use 1 full stick of cheese, half cheese and half hotdog, or 1 whole hotdog. Once you are done skewering, you can put them into the fridge and chill.

When your dough has risen, take the sticks out of the fridge and do long rotating pulls on to the stick until it is fully covered.

Coat them in the Panko bread crumbs in another plate and fry them in oil. You should fry them for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.

Repeat these steps with all of your skewers.

Finally, plate them and sprinkle with sugar. You can enjoy these with certain condiments of your choice. The most common condiments would be ketchup and mustard.
