Meet Alexandra Carilloz!

Despite starting off online, how is Middle College for you?
“The transition between middle school and high school has been a lot more laid back than I thought it would be. Getting to know some of the students attending MCHS makes things a lot easier and the teachers were very welcoming. The only challenging thing has been getting used to the new schedule and trying to figure out my college classes.”
What is your favorite class so far?
“At the moment, I think probably either biology or English. I really like biology because I’ve already had some experience with the teacher, and I also like English because Ms. Mason is really nice and the work that’s been given has been not too hard but has a little bit of a challenge.”
What are some of your hobbies?
“Some of my hobbies include playing video games with my friends (that sadly go to different schools ) and I also play the cello. I’ve played for around 4 years and that’s a lot of fun.”
If you had the ability to time travel, would you rather time travel to the past or the future? Why?
“I would want to travel in the past because a lot of really powerful civil rights movements were going on that made history, and I really admire that. I just think it would be super cool to see that first hand.”
What was the last gift you gave someone?
“The last gift I gave someone wasn’t that important. It was a gift card for someone’s birthday… I’m kind of bad at giving gifts.”
Meet Chloe Xiong!

Despite starting off online, how is Middle College for you?
“So far, Middle College has been treating me great. The only hiccups that I’ve had so far would be miscommunication between some teachers/professors, but overall they’ve been doing great.”
What is your favorite class so far?
“My favorite class so far would be AVID because Ms. Langone is pretty chill and her assignments do not stress me out as much.”
What are some of your hobbies?
“I only have a few which consists of listening to music, dancing, and writing. The reason why I like listening to music is because I found that I could connect to the music, which makes me calm when I’m stressed out. I like dancing because it’s another thing that takes all my stress away and for writing. I just find it very fun to do.”
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
“I would probably invest in something to make more money so that I can help a lot more people around the world or some problems the world is facing right now.”
Where would you want to travel after COVID-19?
“I would like to travel to Japan or South Korea because I heard that the scenery over there is very beautiful, and I would like to see it one day.”
